JOB PURPOSE

Primary Role

The Consultant will be assigned to the OSM product implementation in Fulfillment stream to assist rolling out wireless (CDMA, GSM) and Wireline service (Broadband, IP based networks etc) 

The role consists of providing guidance in deploying best practice proactive fulfillment systems and processes. Candidate must provide leadership in achieving the best outcome in delivering a Fulfillment solution that enable Service Provider to become more responsive to changing technologies and to support provisioning of next generation services.  

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provide detailed OSM product based Architecture solution content knowledge to workshops 
• Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, are within the project scope, and are internally consistent. 
• Ability to understand OSM architecture and its components and deployment/migration 
• Ability to perform plugin development which includes development of Java plugin, DB plugin and XSLT plugins.
• Ability to understand and Implement OSM functional framework ,Process, sub process, order template, Order Source, Rules, OSM State policies for different workgroups and users.
• Ability to understand how OSM  Interacts with Northbound and southbound interfaces and implement automation component.
• Ability to Installation and Configuration of the Weblogic  server and the OSM Application, understand web logic user group for OSM.
• Ability to setup OSM environment, understand build and manage an OSM cartridge.
• Ability ot understand Common order management functionality of OSM 7.0.
• Participate in the Architect discussion forum or product configuration and life cycle management
• Validate that the solution and architecture designs utilize the application architecture components appropriately
• Assist Domain Owner as required with issues / gaps and actions from workshops
• Validate Product modelling solutions and mapping of legacy products

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Hands on experience on OSM 6.x.x or OSM 7.0
• Understanding of the OSS domain and the role of fulfillment systems within this context.
• Experience with Enterprise and solution level integration using industry standard standards, technologies and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to actively cooperate with external parties such as system integrators and package vendors
• High level of communication & presentation skills (both written & verbal) 
• Experience architecting IT solutions that manage the fulfilment processes for various products/ technology such as Mobile, POTS, DSL, Broadband, VPN, Managed WAN for different customer segments (highly desirable)
